The Foyle Foundation has made a generous grant of £30,000 to the Trust for the purchase of a sophisticated book scanner for use in the cataloguing project “Northumberland’s Hidden Stories”

This award is a first milestone in the cataloguing project that aims to raise funds to employ two Archivists so that a backlog of estate collections can be reearched and details added to the online catalogue to allow public access to what are sure to be fascinating stories.

The scanner has been ordered and will be brought into use soon after delivery and setting up.
